Music in the Liturgy
Music is an important part of the worship experience at St. Brigid, and anyone who desires to participate is welcome to participate in one or more of the groups which comprise the Music Ministry.
There are no formal auditions; the structure of each group is designed to make the experience as convenient and enjoyable as possible while still effectively ministering to the community. Also, the ability to read music is not a requirement to sing in any of the Music Ministry ensembles, so please don’t be shy about expressing your interest in joining one of our choirs.
Below is a list of the groups which minister on a regular basis, with the possibility of new ensembles developing depending on the availability of interested people. Please let us know if there is an ensemble not listed in which you would like to use your musical talents, and we will certainly work toward creating that opportunity for you and others with like interests.
For more information about the music ministries or to join a choir, please contact Director of Music Ministry, Dorothy Ybarra, at 210-696-0896, ext 215, or email at DorothyMY@aol.com

Costume Help Needed
Our St. Brigid Performing Arts Ministry has many costumes and accessories which are used for plays and even by other parish ministries when they are needed. Over the summer months, it would be great to have help in repairing, organizing, and cataloguing all of these items. If you or someone you know are able to help, please contact Dorothy at DorothyMY@aol.com. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!

There are no regularly-scheduled rehearsals, but there are occasional rehearsals called for the purpose of learning new repertoire. Participants are contacted when the need arises, and they minister as they are able.
