SOUND SYSTEM UPDATE

A Message from Father Gilberto:
Sound system experts made detailed analysis of the current system in the church recently and found it very challenging. They then met with our building committee and explained the situation. The Archdiocese recommended to us to invite CTSA to get involved in our sound system project. After inspecting our system, they decided not to work with us because they also found it to be so challenging. We expect to install a new sound system by January 2021.
Father Gilberto
Here is our Music Minister, Dorothy Ybarra, to explain further:
The Livestream Mass over the past couple of weekends had serious audio issues, and for that, we deeply apologize. As of this time, we think that the problem has been resolved. Livestreaming is an endeavor which relies on not only the sound system, but also how it interacts with the camera and the computer program which feeds the stream. The set-up of our current sound system in the Sanctuary is not very user-friendly with current technology, and we are using a Livestream program that, while it has no subscription cost, has some qualities that render it somewhat unreliable.
There are some things over which we have little to no control, and also some things with which we are not yet acquainted, but we are learning. We have consulted with an expert in the Livestreaming business, and his consultation has yielded us results, but we are applying a bandage for now until the permanent equipment is installed.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.
Dorothy
