Sacraments
St. Brigid Catholic Church

Sacramental Life

It is primarily in the liturgical celebration that we come together as people of prayer, and are strengthened by our worship and participation in the sacraments.

Through our sacramental life, we go forth to share in the mission of Jesus in the community in which we live. And, it is in this context that the following guidelines are offered.

Children and Youth Sacraments

Strengthened by Our Worship

Children and youth are invited to participate in preparation for sacraments during the second year they are registered in Faith Formation.

For Confirmation, youth continue in Faith Formation while parents/guardians and sponsors oversee the youth’s parish involvement and service project. To begin these processes a parent or guardian must attend the parent/guardian meeting.

For First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, children continue in Faith Formation at St. Brigid while parents/guardians prepare them for the sacraments at home.
