myParish App
In July 2015, we began the launching of the myParish App as another way to communicate with our parish community and to provide ways to deepen our spiritual life.
myParish App offers several ways for staying in touch with the happenings at St. Brigid such as through messages, calendar events and groups. For those who are looking for some reflective reading, myParish App has buttons available for homilies (PDF and audio), the Rosary and Bible (both in audio format), and several other reflection buttons. A person can also access the weekly bulletin and parish calendar by going to the Parish Info button.
Calendar (Parish Events)
With Featured Events on the myParish App calendar, you can do much more than just see a list of dates and times. It’s a robust tool that you can use to stay organized and informed on what’s going on within your community. Get more details at a glance, RSVP, share and find directions to parish events. You can swiftly and simply give new life to your personal organization. With a single tap, you can sync and add an event to your phone’s calendar.
Homilies
myParish App offers the opportunity to read Homilies with a link to those posted on our website and audios of Homilies by renowned speakers and priests such as Fr. Larry Richards, Fr. Robert Barron and more. These can offer inspiration whether homebound or present in Adoration.
Mass Mode
Make your phone Mass-friendly. No more interruptions. Never again worry about remembering to silence your cell phone while at church. myParish MassMode automatically sends you reminders whenever you are in the vicinity of your parish, so that you can remember to silence your phone. Technology meets faith and the result is simple silence.
Messages
Messages are a way to connect with parish life at St. Brigid. By reading through the messages in your myParish App, you can better keep in touch with your Catholic community. Doing this is made simple with myParish Messages. It’s easy to connect each day with the latest parish news, information and events. You can also Favorite what’s most relevant to you, remove what isn’t and share the news, or event, to take part in growing your community.
To download your myParish App (using your smart phone), open a new text message and type the number 88202 in the Recipient/Contact field. Then, in the message field, type and text the word, App. The reply will come back with a link. Clicking on that link will take you directly to your App Store where you can then download the myParish App. Or, you may visit your phone’s App Store and search for myParish App.
