CATHOLIC YOUTH ORGANIZATION
St. Brigid hosts a Catholic Youth Organization under the direction of the Archdiocese of San Antonio. Led by parent volunteers, this program offers youth friendly sporting events.
CYO is a sports ministry program for youth ages 3-16 that emphasizes friendly competition through good sportsmanship and Catholic values. Led by adult volunteers who serve as positive role models and mentors within an athletic setting, the program uses sports as a venue to teach young people important life lessons and skills. Sports include: soccer, basketball, baseball/softball/t-ball, volleyball, flag-football, track, and most recently: cheer.

October 2020: St. Brigid CYO has volunteered their time to restoring the picnic tables that are around the Parish grounds. This will be helpful since most events and meetings are happening outdoors.
The tables will need to be sanded down and stained and will have the St. Brigid cross placed on each one of them. If you would like to help with this project, please get in touch with Joe Lara.
Let’s help our parish give people a place to sit and chat while keeping distance from each other.
August 2020: In light of the uncertainty caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and related state and local restrictions, St. Brigid CYO will not be offering Fall Sports for the 2020 season. We are not alone in this decision; several other large parishes within our North Zone are not offering Fall Sports at this time. We are continuing to closely monitor the situation and we hope that we will be able to resume our sports ministry again with the Winter season sports.
To receive updates about future registration dates and upcoming sports seasons, follow us on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/StBrigidCYO, email CYO@stbrigidcc.org, or text 210-591-5527.
June 2020: It is with great sadness that the St. Brigid CYO Board, along with direction from Father Gilberto and staff, have decided to forego the summer season. This decision was not come to lightly. We want to ensure the safety of all that are associated with our program and feel this is the best way to do that at this time.
We are continuously praying for our sports families and wish you all good health. And, we will continue to work hard and ensure our fields are ready to go for the upcoming Fall season.
If you have made a payment for the season and want a refund, please email CYO@stbrigidcc.org. We will ensure the refund is made. If you made a payment and plan on continuing in our future programs, the payment can also be credited toward that.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us on FaceBook @StBrigidCYO, via email to CYO@stbrigidcc.org, or call/text 210-591-5527.
