Retreat Opportunities
St. Brigid Parish strives to offer retreats and Days of Reflection for families and individuals throughout the year.
We recognize the importance of taking time out of our busy schedules to be renewed in our relationship with the Lord. Parishioners are also encouraged to participate in the many other Retreat opportunities offered throughout our Archdiocese. Many of these are published under Adult Faith Formation “Around the Town” in the parish bulletin.
ACTS Retreats:
The ACTS community strives to assist members of the parish family to attain a deeper relationship with the Lord and with fellow parishioners through
-
- Adoration: Prayer life
- Community: Love and caring for each other
- Theology: Study of the faith through scripture
- Service: To God and to each other
To achieve this goal, a three-day weekend experience is planned for both women and men.
Our next Men ACTS Retreats will be:
February 28-March 3, 2019;
March 11-14, 2021; and,
March 24-27, 2022.
Our next Women ACTS Retreats will be:
June 20-23, 2019;
September 30-October 3, 2021; and,
September 22-25, 2022.
Please let us know if you have ever been on an ACTS Retreat before, either with St. Brigid or another parish, whether your home parish or as a visitor or guest of another parish.

Men’s Retreat
Like the Women’s Retreat, the men of the parish plan and assist in the implementation of the retreat. The Retreat allows participants to explore their relationship with Jesus and their roles as husbands, fathers and singles.
Women’s Retreat
The Women’s Retreats generally allow interested women of the parish to plan and assist in the implementation of the retreat which encourages participants to explore their relationship with Jesus, and their roles as wives, mothers and singles.
Annually, for several years now, St. Brigid offers a Women’s Retreat during the month of May. For information, watch the weekly bulletin beginning in mid-April.
