Congratulations to Sister Gemma on receiving her degree in social work! Sister Gemma has guided our children with love, compassion and total dedication in their faith as our Director of Religious Education for the past 4 years.
She is receiving the call to pursue the work in her degree and with loving hearts we embrace this call. We are sad to see her go but know that she is doing the work of the Lord. Thank you Sister Gemma for being a light to our youth, their families and the people of our Parish.

ST. BRIGID JOB OPENING
DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
The Director of Religious Education at St. Brigid is responsible for the direction and coordination of the entire religious education program for children, ages Pre-K through 12th grade, including any special needs children.
The DRE coordinates and collaborates with the Adult Faith Development Director and the Youth Minister in developing and implementing the vision and reality of a comprehensive faith development process in the parish. The position includes but is not limited to providing formational training opportunities for catechists including lesson planning, teaching skills, Catholic Doctrine and Scripture, classroom management; recruiting volunteer catechists and aides for grades Pre-K–12th; assuring all curriculum used is in compliance with the USCCB and Archdiocesan guidelines; attending Archdiocesan DRE meetings and in-services; serving as a member of the Pastoral Staff and participating in team meetings, parish wide activities, and worships with the faith community at least once a week. The DRE is responsible for the recording of all sacraments for RCIA for Children/Youth (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation), First Eucharist (children) and Youth Confirmation; directing, coordinating and overseeing the Sacramental Programs for Grade School age children for First Eucharist and First Reconciliation; and plans, coordinates and conducts the annual summer Vacation Bible School program.
The DRE reports to and is accountable to the Pastor. Requirements for this position will be forthcoming in next weeks bulletin.
