You’re invited: Join your fellow parishioners in supporting the 2021 Archbishop’s Appeal for Ministries
“Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, and saw a poor widow putting in two mites. So He said, “…this poor widow has put in more than all.” Luke 21:1-4
On behalf of Archbishop Gustavo and Father Gilberto, we invite you and your family to participate in this year’s Archbishop’s Appeal for Ministries by offering a sacrificial gift that your circumstances permit. Your gift will help form priests and deacons to serve you, your family, and individuals locally. It will prepare lay leaders to serve as catechists in our parish religious programs. It will offer a Catholic education to families in need. It will broadcast televised Masses and help expand our reach through other digital media, and will share Christ’s love as it feeds, clothes, shelters, and cares for the most vulnerable.
As Luke recalls the widow giving her two mites, the Lord promises that our generosity is the foundational building block of our eternal life. Giving selflessly as faithful stewards of God’s blessings helps us to grow in trust with our Lord. We are not owners of His gifts, but caretakers. Sharing them freely makes Christ’s love present through ministries serving our community. We invite you to pray and find it in your heart to make a sacrificial gift to this year’s Appeal.
A one-time gift, a pledge with installments, or a new option of a recurring gift (i.e., a monthly gift with no end date until you contact the Appeal office) can be given the following ways:
• Text-To-Give: (210) 750-6712; keyword APPEAL
• Online at www.archsa.org/appeal
• By calling 210-734- 1604
• Using the parish Appeal envelope.
Whatever the means, please indicate that you gift is to be credited to St. Brigid.
May God bless you for your goodness!
